Welcome to Second Wind. It’s a change in the weather that hints of a new season. Or a dry log on red morning coals. It’s courage you never thought you had. Or the burn of whiskey in the belly before venturing out on an icy night. It’s creatio ex nihilo. It’s rediscovering yourself after learning old truths. The end of an age and the start of a new one. When city lights hit the horizon. A tune played on an old dusty fiddle that hasn’t been touched in years. When you forget your feet are sore cause it’s the last song of the night and everyone else is dancing. Or setting sail on a salvaged ship. It’s a revival of forgotten styles. When it comes, breathe it in.
